The Journey That Led Me to Chiropractic Care: A Personal Story

Becoming a chiropractor wasn’t something I had planned for early in life, but it became my calling after an unexpected turn during pregnancy. Like many moms-to-be, I dealt with the typical challenges of pregnancy, but for the first time, I experienced chronic pain that simply wouldn’t go away. That’s when I discovered chiropractic care.

With regular adjustments, I not only found relief from the pain but also had a smoother, easier pregnancy and a labor that was remarkably efficient. The positive experience transformed my view on health and healing, igniting a passion for chiropractic care that ultimately led me to where I am today—helping others find relief from pain and supporting their overall wellness through chiropractic.

3 Years of Holistic, Compassionate Care

I’ve been practicing chiropractic care for three years now, and my approach is a little different from what you might find in other clinics. My goal is to provide personalized, comprehensive care that makes a real difference in my patients’ lives. That’s why I offer longer visits, incorporate soft tissue therapies and exercises into each session, and make sure there’s always room for the unexpected—whether it’s a quick diaper change, a little one who needs comforting, or a mom who needs a few extra moments to relax.

Techniques I Specialize In

Chiropractic care is not one-size-fits-all, so I use a variety of techniques to ensure the best outcome for each patient. My specialties include diversified adjustments, drop table techniques, activator methods, Webster technique for pregnant patients, and various soft tissue therapies. Whether you’re dealing with low back pain during pregnancy or muscle tension from daily life, I tailor my approach to fit your specific needs.

A Holistic View of Health

At the core of my practice is a belief that chiropractic care helps your body do what it’s naturally designed to do. While adjustments alone don’t cure disease, they do ensure that the body is moving the way it should, which supports the function of other systems. I often see patients with pregnancy-related pain, neck and mid-back pain, muscle soreness, reflux, torticollis in infants, latch issues, constipation, and even plantar fasciitis.

Gentle Care for All Ages

I treat everyone from newborns to the elderly with the same gentle approach, adjusting my techniques depending on the patient’s needs. For children and pregnant women, I use softer, more specific adjustments and soft tissue therapies to ensure comfort while still providing effective care.

Your First Visit: What to Expect

The first visit to my clinic is a comprehensive one. We spend an hour together, starting with a detailed history and physical exam. From there, I explain my findings, create a treatment plan, and begin with adjustments and soft tissue work, like cupping, IASTM, pin and stretch, or trigger point therapy. I also work with each patient to develop an exercise plan that fits into their lifestyle and helps them stay active and healthy.

Preventive Care: The Key to Staying Strong

Many people think chiropractic care is only necessary when you’re in pain, but I believe in the power of preventive care. Getting adjusted before pain starts helps ensure you stay active and strong, keeping your body in top shape for whatever life throws your way.

Collaboration and Continued Learning

As part of my commitment to providing the best possible care, I stay active in the American Chiropractic Association and keep up with the latest research. I also work closely with naturopathic doctors in my office, coordinating patient care to ensure the most holistic and comprehensive treatment plans.

The Most Rewarding Part of My Job

What makes this work so fulfilling is seeing my patients get back to doing what they love, pain-free. Whether it’s a new mom who can enjoy time with her baby or an athlete returning to their sport, watching people regain their lives is the most rewarding part of being a chiropractor.
